The Association for Development and Charitable Work is a Mauritanian association that bridges donors — at home and abroad — and beneficiaries across the wilayas of the country. From regular monthly sponsorships to seasonal projects and emergency relief, we make sure every ouguiya reaches the person it was meant for.
Every sponsored person has a documented file and regular illustrated reports, and every project is followed on the ground from the first day to handover.

Eight programmes covering every need
From monthly sponsorship to emergency relief, our programmes are built around the needs of Mauritanian society.
Orphan sponsorship
A comprehensive monthly sponsorship covering food, clothing, schooling and healthcare.
Support for needy families
Regular monthly support for low-income families and widows.
Support for imams and teachers
Monthly stipends for mosque imams and teachers of the mahadras and of the Qur’an.
Aid for mahadra students
Grants and assistance for students of religious sciences and of the mahadras so they can continue their studies.
People with disabilities
Dedicated care and assistance for people with disabilities and their families.
Development projects
Well drilling, building mosques and classrooms, and basic infrastructure projects.
Seasonal campaigns
Iftar meals, the adahi, Eid clothing and seasonal food baskets.
Emergency relief
Rapid intervention in disasters and emergencies for stricken families.

Artesian well
An 80-metre-deep well with a tank and a distribution network serving 340 families.
Campaign to sponsor 100 orphans
58 orphans sponsored so far; the goal is 100 new sponsorships this year.
Ramadan food baskets 1448
1,000 complete food baskets distributed to the neediest families.
